shhh. wait for it. wait. shazam! From sheer boredom and the need for constant change in our constantly changing world I have decided to rebrand my little 51Bloom. Not just rebrand but rename and rebuild also. New face, new directions, and new stuff. I thought long and hard on this one, and after searching a ton of names and buying about 15 different possible urls I landed on good stuff make. I don’t really know the exact path on which I got there, as it was a pretty organic process and I am not a fan of mind maps or anything, but once I said it I was sold. From past experience I know that I perceive the world different than a lot of folk, and I am sure good stuff make does nothing for a lot of people, but it tickles my brain and when you reverse it you get make stuff good, which was another option of mine, but just not quite as intriguing, although both are anagrams for faked tofu smog, which is just brilliant. More to come yo. goodstuffmake.com
commentThis track is off I Care Because You Do, which was one of my favorite albums from 95′. Geez I’m getting old. This steel drum tribute is so awesome.

Comments are off for this postStraight up I have been a dust brothers err… chemical brothers fan since the duo started pumping out the big beats that rocked the shit out of so many of my earlier cars. I thought the big beat would never die – but it kind of did (heartache)… Truthfully I see a new generation of big beat rocking very soon and even harder than ever – fingers crossed. But I digress.
The newest ChemBros release is the bees knees. Nothing I have heard from the duo in the last 10 years comes close to touching some of the audiogasms that Further can produce. This album is a throwback to their glorious roots, days of big-beat badness and surreal soundscapes. I for one will always hold my heart to big beat and what it produced in the early 90′s. One day it will be recognized as a turning point, although small and short lived it did something for the love of bass and huge banger synths that is still very much a part of many genres to date. Overall I find this album nothing but amazing and worthy of anyones listen. If you have an hour do this. Turn off you phone/facebook/myspank/twitter/penis/vagina/asshole, go for a walk and give it a listen. Holy shit! you will thank me… or you will hate it and that means you probably like 70′s punk and or lesbian guitar rock, both of which are great in my eyes and we should just agree to disagree. :)
See you @ Hollywood bowl in august! BOOM!
